My Introduction to Backyard Beecaring is suited to those interested in caring for between one and three honey bee hives in their backyard.
The focus is on giving you information that helps you appreciate your bees. I call it a beecaring method due to me supporting the focus you choose; whether to enjoy the natural processes of bees or to maximise the honey yield.
I work with you one-to-one at your location. This enables us to explore all your questions, identify where you might place hives and to consider available storage spaces.
In this session we can explore topics important to you, such as:
1 - 2 hours @ your place = $80 (POA for over 20km from Wyndham Vale 3024)

- Responsibilities and commitments: time, space and costs.
- Hives: types of hives and their pros and cons, parts of the hive.
- Planning and preparation: placement of a hive.
- Tools and equipment.
- Inside the hive: identifying brood, larvae, eggs, pollen, honey and nectar.
- Basic pests and diseases.
- Options for harvesting honey.
