Debbie Conway

My professional life has been committed to the education and care of children and adults. Over 35 years I have been an Educator, Director, Trainer Assessor, Resource and Development Manager and a text book writer.

I'm passionate about supporting others to achieve their goals, to expand their interests and support their personal and professional growth. I strongly believe that active, hands-on learning creates lasting effects.

Bee-caring is an interest that has given me a stronger link to the natural world. As I've learnt more about these creatures I have become more and more interested in how they:
  • link to our human world
  • work together in harmony
  • provide health and wellbeing benefits
  • encourage us to problem solve
  • challenge us to trust each other and them.

Bee-carers
Since 2019 I have become familiar with traditional langstroth hives, Flow hives and horizontal hives.
My bee-caring approach means that my strategies are flexible to each colony and the goals of their own bee-carers - those with one, two or three hives. It is important to me that a bee-carer expands their interests past honey making so gaining a sense of exploration, relaxation and wonder.
In line with this, I provide access to a Varroa Controller. This chemical free varroa management method uses heat as a mechanical control. See more on my Varroa Controller service page or information in my links page.
