Arrange a 'Holiday Hive Check' if you are going away, need a break, are unwell or just can't keep up.
To prevent swarming and to keep the hive healthy, beecarers need to check their hives every 7 - 10 days during active season. Over summer and autumn, bees may still swarm and varroa numbers still need to be monitored.
Swarms can get into nasty spaces, destroy native animal habitats and deplete hive numbers. Hives might swarm due to lack of space, disease or queen issues.
$50 for one hive (POA for over 20km from Wyndham Vale 3024)
$15 per additional hive
